Overview

Nestled in the scenic landscapes of Limassol, Kivides stands as a charming, small village approximately 25 kilometers away from the bustling city center. Kivides has a rich historical background, with roots tracing back to at least the Frankish rule. The original settlement, Kato Kivides, was abandoned in 1970, prompting the establishment of Pano Kivides. This new village, inaugurated in 1982, sits 580 meters above sea level, showcasing straight roads, and modern amenities. The village's relocation accommodated its 539 inhabitants from the old village. Noteworthy landmarks include the church of Agios Panteleimonas and the chapel of Agios Akindinon, both adding cultural and spiritual significance to the picturesque setting of Pano Kivides.
